AntiSpywareBot is now fully updated to its 2008 edition. The first thing you’ll notice when you download AntiSpywareBOT is that the interface looks really cool. But looks can be deceiving. Once you dig into it, you’ll find this interface is a bit busy and intimidating. There are lots of options to choose from, probably a few too many options in my opinion. Simply put, many of the options are not needed.
With AntiSpywareBot, you perform system scans by hitting the big button titled “start scan.” Once you do this, this spyware remover performs a very quick scan. When it is done you will see results, plus a list of what type of infection each spyware intruder is. You are able to decide which spyware you want to delete from your system. AntiSpywareBOT also has a function that allows you to ignore certain files, folders or programs you do not want to scan.
AntiSpywareBot also has an ignore list function which mean you can add any folder, files or applications that you don’t want the program to scan which is useful if you’re worried about the program accidently deleting a file or program you really need. AntiSpywareBot also features some advanced features that other spyware programs don’t offer, such as BHO, or browser helper object manager, which helps you manage objects that attach themselves to Internet Explorer and start each time your browser starts. It starts up each time your browser starts, and shows you any new spyware intruders on your system.
Startup manager in AntiSpywareBOT that controls programs that launch when you start your computer. This section will help you reclaim resources that will improve PC performance. And finally, AntiSpywareBot comes with a home page manager that allows you to reclaim your home page quickly if it gets hijacked by spyware (a hijacked home page is a sure sign that spyware has infected your computer).
