XP Repair Pro is packed with the usual features you would expect from a registry cleaner, as well as several additional ones you may not expect. The first feature available to registered users of XP Repair Pro is an additional program called “Stop Starting”, which allows you to stop certain programs from starting up automatically when your computer loads. XP Repair Pro also features and Advanced Registry Editor, which allows you to comfortably edit your registry settings manually. One of our favorite features about XP Repair Pro is the “software crash monitor”. This feature will automatically monitor your computer processes, and if it detects something that is likely to cause an “illegal error” and cause your PC to freeze, lock-up, or crash, it will stop it from happening.
The XP Repair Pro has one of the best support structures of any registry cleaner. The internet site linked to the registry repair program is full of information about how to work the program and also other frequently asked questions. Additionally there is a system where support tickets can be completed to ask about technical issues.
However, the presentation of XP Repair Pro isn’t as intuitive and simple as some of the other register cleaners we have reviewed, but it doesn’t take very long to understand once you’ve used the program a few times. It has a good approach to backup/restore but it lacks some features in the free version.
